C5205X6 Carbon Steel SAE 37-Degree (JIC) Flare-Twin Fitting, Adapter, 1/4" NPT Male X 3/8" JIC Male

  • Adapts 1/4" NPT male end to 3/8" JIC 37-degree male flare end
  • Zinc-plated carbon steel for durability and resistance to rupture under high pressure
  • Compression fitting for a tight seal on rigid tubing
  • 5,000 psi maximum working pressure
  • Meets SAE J514 standards for quality assurance

This Eaton Weatherhead C5205X6 steel connector adapts a 1/4 National Pipe Taper (NPT) male threaded end to a 3/8" JIC 37-degree flare male end.

The male flare end creates a compression seal with a working pressure of up to 5,000 pounds per square inch (psi).

The fitting is made of carbon steel for durability and resistance to rupture under high pressure and is zinc plated for resistance to corrosion. This Joint Industry Council (JIC) 37-degree flare fitting meets the Society of Automotive Engineers (SAE) J514 standards for quality assurance and is suitable for use in hydraulic applications such as in hydraulic cylinder lines.

Tube fittings are components used for connecting, branching, terminating, and changing the direction of tubing in pneumatic and hydraulic systems.

They are made of brass, stainless steel, polybutylene terephthalate (PBT), and other materials that resist corrosion and wear. Tube fittings have various types of connections, including threaded, welded, barbed, and push-to-connect (also called one-touch). Push-to-connect connections do not require tools or sealants.

Tube fittings are used in various applications, including machine tools, airplane and truck controls, and automated production lines, among others.
